Tech giant Microsoft recently announced that it has launched a new Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser in older Windows, including Windows 8.1 and 7.

Devices running Windows 7 or later and Windows 8.1 or later, including Home, Professional, Ultimate, Starter, and Core Edition, are eligible for the new browser.
However, devices running editions on Active Directory or Azure Active Directory domains have been removed from the list.

Microsoft released minor updates - KB4560960 and KB4557957 - on June 9 and users started having problems as soon as they were installed. Many users are reported being unable to print files as PDFs format.
Microsoft published a notice acknowledging that the KB4557957 update could disable some printers from printing.
TechDev warns users that "the printer may shut down unexpectedly when trying to print it and will not produce any output."
Also, it says that the app users are trying to print may close unexpectedly. Finally, it acknowledges that the problem can affect software-based printers, for example, printing in PDF.
