The Ministry of Health has released a list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be implemented after the schools reopen on September 15.

On Monday, Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood chaired a meeting of Pakistan's provincial education minister on reopening schools, according to details.
The meeting is also considering shortening the course due to the short duration of the academic year.
However, according to SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health; Educational activities at the school will be in 2 shifts
The change period in school activities will be a maximum of 4 hours.
Schools should also schedule shifts on Saturdays to avoid crowds.
To complete the academic session, it was decided to end the winter holidays in educational institutions.
Assemblies will not be allowed in educational institutions.
Students should maintain a social distance between educational institutions and vans.
Masks will be mandatory for students, including teaching and non-teaching staff, in educational institutions.
Masks will be an exception for those up to one year of age and for those who have difficulty breathing.
Schools and vans must be disinfected to pick up and drop off students on a daily basis.
Doors and windows of classrooms in educational institutions will be opened for ventilation.
Student seating arrangements in classrooms will be subject to social distance.
Only one student will be allowed to sit at the desk.
Parents are advised to keep hand-cleaned water bottles in their children's school bags.
The cafeteria and canteen in educational institutions will make more use of disposable food service items.
Each educational institution will have a focal person for the corona virus.
In case of corona virus in educational institutions, the school administration will contact the District Health Officer.
The duration of libraries in educational institutions will be reduced while gloves, masks and hand cleaners will be mandatory in the library.
