Karachi: Emerging batsman Hyder Ali, who has earned his first calling in the Pakistan team for the tour of England, has said that he can bat at any number and is happy to play for Pakistan cricket in every chance.
Born in Attock, insisted that his preferred batting position is at the top of the order, which is currently occupied by Fakhar Zaman with limited-overs captain Babar Azam.
"It's up to the team management, where I bat." My job is to give my best where I am ready to bat. At the club level, I can bat or come down. I want to bat high but I am flexible to work on my behalf in any situation. The 19-year-old said while speaking to reporters.
"I am very excited about the tour. My personal preparations have been completed. Whenever I get a chance, I give my best and hope to contribute to the team."
The 19-year-old aims to represent Pakistan in all three formats. “My former objective is to represent Pakistan, play all three formats, and my preparation for that is good. In the domestic first class tournament, I batted well and before that, I played the U19 World Cup, then the PSL. Therefore, I have practiced in all formats.
Hyder Younus Khan wants to learn as much from the likes of Misbah-ul-Haq. He said, "I always wanted to play under Younis's coaching and I am happy to have this a amazing & wonderful opportunity. He said, "I want to learn as much as I can. I want to learn how to play and approach all three formats. I am looking forward to how much I can grow on this three month long tour.
It should be noted here that the Pakistan team is to travel to England in the last week of June. The green shirt will play three Tests and several T20 matches against the home team.
